Lora Fox Gamble has worked in the film and television for more than twenty years. After graduating from Stanford in 1984, she moved to Los Angeles to work in development at MGM Studios. In 1986, she moved to the Samuel Goldwyn Company, where she acquired feature film and television properties for domestic and international distribution. In 1991, she was named Executive Director of the International Documentary Association. In 1992, she produced her first independent documentary, ìThe View from the Cage,î and sold it to The Discovery Channel. In the film, she was featured on-camera as a first-time shark diver who dives with great whites. This led to three years of participating in underwater films both in front of and behind the camera: ìGreat Whites of California,î ìJaws in the Med,î and the dive series, ìDive Arubaî which she co-hosted with Christopher Reeve. In 1993, she became the Director of International Co-productions for Oregon Public Broadcasting, and was part of the Executive Producing team for PBS on the video/television series, ìEyewitness,î a co-production with the BBC Natural History Unit and Dorling-Kindersley Publishers. In 1995, she became Managing Director of Pinnacle Pictures, an international film and television sales company based in London. She raised production finance for feature films and television properties in return for international sales rights. In 1998, she helped launch the British Independent Film Awards, where she served as a founding board member and juror. Since moving to the East End in 2000, Lora Fox Gamble has been working as an independent producer developing and raising production finance for PBS and cable television programming and feature films.

Over the years, Lora Fox Gamble has acquired, developed, written, edited, produced and executive produced numerous feature films and television properties, including: Poltergeist II, Hoosiers, Sid and Nancy, Dance with a Stranger, Mystic Pizza, Spanish Fly, Prague Duet, Another Life, A View From the Cage, Jaws in the Med, Eyewitness.
