John Anderson is a film critic for Variety, Newsday, and a regular columnist for Screen Intrernational. His reviews and articles have run in the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, the Village Voice, The Nation, Film Comment, LAWeekly, Artforum, Interview, Out, Billboard and the Guardian of London. He is a past member of the selection committee of the New York Film Festival and the author of "Sundancing" (Avon, 2000) and "Edward Yang" (University of Illinois Press, 2005). He is a member and two-time past chair of the New York Film Critics Circle, a member of the National Society of Film Critics and a member of the National Book Critics Circle.
